The Value of talking, reading, and writing about subcultures is because it is an easy topic, with many choices that students can choose from. It is what students are most fimilair with, differnt kinds of cultures, ways to live other than what is already known to that person. For example someone who has played football their entire life, was never around gangs or had time to worry about gangs, but now it is a chance to learn about the differnt diverese live style that a gangbanger encourters in their everyday life opposed to the athlete.

Why do we talk about subcultures in a writing class?

We talk about subcultures in a writing class, i think is because everyone in the class is diverse and differnt. We should be able to learn and talk about difference cultures and backrounds and exect everyone for who they are and where they come from, what is acustome.

What are the challenges/risk assocaited with talking, reading and writing about subculture?

Differnt students may not understand, also students may be effended becasue they are judge to be something assocaited with that subculture, and are not.
